Sea-Doo has officially unveiled its 2027 personal watercraft range and this is considerably more than a new set of colours and graphics.

The headline changes include an all-new 350 hp Rotax 1630 ACE engine, a new 110 hp Rotax 1000 ACE engine for the Spark family, the introduction of the Sea-Doo Spark X, a limited-edition RXP-X Senna 350 and wider availability of Sea-Doo’s 10.25-inch touchscreen display.

For UK Sea-Doo riders, it means significant changes at both ends of the range. There is more performance at the top and a considerably more powerful option built around the lightweight Spark platform.

Here is what we know about the 2027 Sea-Doo models so far.

What Is New for Sea-Doo in 2027?

The biggest confirmed changes for model year 2027 are:

  • New Rotax 1630 ACE producing 350 hp
  • 350 hp available on the RXP-X, RXT-X and GTX Limited
  • Limited-edition RXP-X Senna 350
  • All-new Rotax 1000 ACE engine platform
  • Spark engine outputs of 60 hp, 90 hp and 110 hp
  • Brand-new Sea-Doo Spark X
  • Spark X Trixx with 110 hp
  • Intelligent Debris Free system on Spark X models
  • A claimed 15% increase in top speed for Spark X
  • Wider availability of the 10.25-inch touchscreen
  • Touchscreen technology extended to the GTX and GTR-X

BRP describes the 2027 lineup as its most powerful Sea-Doo PWC range to date.

New 350 HP Rotax 1630 ACE Engine

The biggest performance announcement is unquestionably the new Rotax 1630 ACE 350.

Sea-Doo’s previous flagship performance output was 325 hp. For 2027, BRP has increased that figure to 350 hp and officially describes the new Rotax as the most powerful factory-installed PWC engine in the industry.

The 350 hp engine has been confirmed for:

2027 Sea-Doo Confirmed Output
RXP-X 350 hp
RXT-X 350 hp
GTX Limited 350 hp
RXP-X Senna 350 hp

For performance riders, the significance is not simply another horsepower figure.

The RXP-X remains Sea-Doo’s more race-focused platform while the RXT-X combines substantial power with the larger ST3 hull for offshore and rougher-water riding.

The official 2027 RXT-X specification confirms the 350 hp Rotax 1630 ACE alongside its hydraulic steering damper, launch control, extended Variable Trim System and 10.25-inch touchscreen.

This should make the RXP-X and RXT-X two of the most closely watched models in the new range.

2027 Sea-Doo RXP-X Senna 350

Sea-Doo has also created one of the most distinctive models in the 2027 range through a collaboration with the Senna brand.

The RXP-X Senna 350 pays tribute to three-time Formula One World Champion Ayrton Senna and is much more than a graphics package.

Production is limited to 1,991 units, referencing the year of Senna’s third Formula One World Championship.

The Senna edition features:

  • Rotax 1630 ACE 350 hp engine
  • Racing Yellow colour scheme
  • Carbon-fibre hood
  • Ayrton Senna signature detailing
  • Senna logos and quotes
  • Numbered production plate
  • Hydraulic steering damper
  • Launch control
  • Low-rise racing handlebar
  • Double-angled footwell wedges
  • Matching passenger seat
  • Branded cover
  • BRP Platinum Audio System

The RXP-X Senna uses Sea-Doo’s T3-R performance hull and retains the highly focused riding position and Ergolock R system associated with the RXP-X platform.

For collectors and performance PWC enthusiasts, this is arguably the standout model of the entire 2027 launch.

The New 2027 Sea-Doo Spark X

The other major new model is at a completely different end of the Sea-Doo range.

Meet the 2027 Sea-Doo Spark X.

Sea-Doo has taken the lightweight and playful Spark concept and given it considerably more power through the new Rotax 1000 ACE 110 hp engine.

That is a major step for the Spark family.

BRP says the 110 hp engine improves the Spark’s power-to-weight ratio and gives the Spark X a 15% higher top speed along with stronger acceleration and quicker response.

Importantly, Sea-Doo has retained the characteristics that make the Spark different from larger PWCs.

The Spark X remains lightweight, uses the Polytec Spark hull and will be available in both two-rider and three-rider versions in markets where those configurations are offered.

Standard Spark X equipment includes:

  • Rotax 1000 ACE 110 hp engine
  • iBR Intelligent Brake & Reverse
  • iDF Intelligent Debris Free system
  • Speed Regulator
  • Boarding step
  • BRP portable audio system
  • Watertight phone compartment
  • LinQ Lite attachment system
  • Exclusive coloured deck and graphics

For riders who like the size and agility of a Spark but previously wanted more performance, the Spark X could be one of the most important additions Sea-Doo has made to the range for some time.

A New Engine for the Entire Spark Family

The Spark X is not the only important Spark announcement.

Sea-Doo is replacing the established 900 ACE architecture with the new Rotax 1000 ACE platform.

For 2027, BRP has confirmed three output levels:

  • 60 hp
  • 90 hp
  • 110 hp

The 110 hp version is reserved for the new Spark X and Spark X Trixx models according to BRP’s launch announcement.

That means buyers can still choose a more accessible Spark while performance-focused riders now have a substantially more powerful option without moving to a larger GTI or GTR platform.

It makes the Spark range much broader than before.

2027 Spark X Trixx

The Trixx concept also benefits from the new engine.

Sea-Doo has confirmed the Spark X Trixx with the 110 hp Rotax 1000 ACE.

The Trixx has always been designed around a more playful style of riding and the additional power should make the performance difference particularly noticeable when accelerating and using the machine’s trick-focused capabilities.

The Spark X and Spark X Trixx also receive Sea-Doo’s iDF Intelligent Debris Free system.

iDF allows the rider to reverse the direction of the pump flow to help clear weeds and debris through handlebar-operated controls. That can be particularly useful for riders launching from areas where weed or floating material is common.

More Models Get the 10.25-Inch Touchscreen

Horsepower is only part of the 2027 update.

Sea-Doo is also expanding availability of its 10.25-inch touchscreen display.

For 2027, BRP has specifically confirmed the technology will extend to the GTX and GTR-X.

The touchscreen provides access to functions including:

  • Ride information
  • Speed and RPM
  • Fuel information
  • Ride statistics
  • Media control
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • Compass
  • Navigation through the BRP GO! app

This is a meaningful change for models such as the GTX.

For touring and longer coastal rides, a larger navigation-capable display has practical value rather than simply making the dashboard look more modern.

2027 GTX Limited Gets 350 HP

The GTX Limited also receives one of the biggest mechanical updates.

For 2027, Sea-Doo has confirmed that the flagship luxury touring model receives the Rotax 1630 ACE 350 hp engine.

That creates an unusual combination.

The RXP-X is designed around focused performance and the RXT-X around offshore performance but the GTX Limited combines the same headline output with Sea-Doo’s premium touring approach.

For riders who want acceleration and performance without sacrificing storage, comfort and touring equipment, the 2027 GTX Limited should be a particularly interesting proposition.

What About the Explorer Pro?

The Explorer Pro continues into the 2027 range as Sea-Doo’s adventure and long-distance touring model.

Official 2027 information currently shows the Explorer Pro offered with 170 hp and 230 hp Rotax 1630 ACE engine options in the North American range along with the 10.25-inch touchscreen and the equipment that differentiates the Explorer platform.

Its focus remains different from the new 350 hp models.

The Explorer Pro is designed around long-distance comfort, storage, stability and the ability to carry equipment for extended trips rather than outright performance.

UK specification and final availability should be confirmed separately before ordering.

Sea-Doo’s specialist fishing range also continues into model year 2027.

The official 2027 FishPro Trophy information retains the dedicated equipment that has made the Trophy the most fishing-focused model in the Sea-Doo range including its livewell system, Garmin-based navigation and fish-finding equipment, rod holders, trolling functionality and modular swivel seat.

The FishPro range continues to provide an alternative for anglers who want the accessibility and manoeuvrability of a PWC combined with equipment normally associated with a dedicated fishing boat.

2027 Sea-Doo vs 2026: What Has Actually Changed?

The 2027 launch contains several genuine mechanical and technology changes rather than being solely a model-year refresh.

Area 2026 2027
Flagship power 325 hp 350 hp
Spark engine family 900 ACE New 1000 ACE
Highest Spark output 90 hp 110 hp
Spark X Not offered New model
Spark X Trixx Not offered New 110 hp model
RXP-X Senna Not offered Limited edition
GTX touchscreen Limited availability 10.25-inch display expanded to GTX
GTR-X touchscreen Previous gauge configuration 10.25-inch display available

That makes model year 2027 particularly significant for riders shopping at either end of the range.

Performance buyers gain another 25 hp at the top while Spark riders gain an entirely new engine platform and a 110 hp performance model.

Which 2027 Sea-Doo Should You Look At?

For lightweight recreational riding, the Spark and Spark Trixx remain natural starting points.

For riders wanting the Spark platform with considerably more performance, the Spark X 110 and Spark X Trixx 110 are the obvious machines to investigate.

For general recreation and family use, the GTI and GTI SE continue to sit at the heart of the Sea-Doo range.

For performance without stepping into the flagship RXP-X or RXT-X platforms, models such as the GTR and GTR-X remain relevant.

For outright acceleration and race-focused handling, look towards the RXP-X 350.

For high-performance offshore riding, the RXT-X 350 combines the new engine with the larger ST3 platform.

For premium touring, the GTX and GTX Limited provide more comfort and storage with the GTX Limited now gaining 350 hp.

For adventure riding and longer-distance exploration, there is the Explorer Pro.

For watersports, the Wake range remains designed around towing.

For dedicated PWC fishing, the FishPro Sport and FishPro Trophy continue to offer specialist angling equipment.
